Romney and Obama both taking cash from Wall Street

As if it may surprise you , President Obama and Mitt Romney are both competing each other for Wall street campaign donation according to New York Times analysis. Mitt Romney has raised $1.5 million dollars since April 2011 and President Obama $270,000. It needs to be reminded that President Obama has taken 500,000 or more in campaign donations from several Wall street sources in 2008. He continues to build a campaign war chest of 100 million and more.

According to New York Times “ Mr. Romney has raised $1.5 million from employees of firms like Morgan Stanley; Highbridge Capital Management, a hedge fund; and Blackstone, a private equity firm. Mr. Obama has raised just over $270,000 from firms that were among his leading sources of campaign cash in 2008. “ How ever its apparent that Wall street remains disenchanted with President Obama and is much frugal, and  not so spontaneous in its cash support for the President’s re-election bid for 2012.

These revelations are an eye opener to those who are attempting to de-leverage Wall street and its influence in the Washington political arena and seeking change and reform. There is huge concern among the public about Wall Street and its role in politics.
