Cornell West and others Occupy Supreme Court and got arrested

In move sympathetic to Occupy Wall Street movement on the day of dedication of Martin Luther King Statue in Washington DC, Professor Cornell West and others were led in handcuffs and arrested on the steps of Supreme Court.

According to the transcript of the NCTC video below Dr. Cornell West told the crowd of admirers and others “ We are willing to get arrested or do whatever it takes to say we will not let this day of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s memorial to go without somebody going to jail, because Martin King would be right here with us” and than summed up solidarity with Occupy Wall Street movement and protest against corporate greed.

Along with the crowd chanting 19 people were also taken into custody on the steps of nations highest court.
